The Kaizen Company (Kaizen) is a dynamic, fast-paced company that implements prime projects for the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) and other donor clients. Kaizen specializes in strengthening local actors to achieve development and stability outcomes.

We are seeking a Team Leader to support the MCC Morocco GSI team to review and comment on compact deliverables and to document GSI-related analysis, objectives, accomplishments, and lessons learned in the Morocco Land and Employability Compact during its final year-plus of operation and during the compact closure period, which continues several months after compact end date. Qualified applicantswill ideally have experience supporting MCC-funded projects and have demonstrated experience supporting integration of GSI for improved development outcomes in the sectors and topic areas listed below.

This position will be based in Morocco.

DUTIES:

The Team Leader will be the primary responsible party under a Call Order for coordination of the team and oversight of deliverables. Call Orders may require the integration of many skill sets, and the Team Leader will be responsible for ensuring this integration and the delivery of timely and quality services to MCC. The Team Leader must have at least 5 years previous experience with leading teams.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters degree in social sciences required, PhD preferred.
  • At least 15 years of experience in economic and social analysis, design and/or implementation including gender and/or social inclusion analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience in TVET/workforce development required.
  • At least 5 years of previous experience leading teams.
  • Experience working on at least one complex project with multiple levels of management, many contractors, and diverse government and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent, detail-oriented writing skills and experiencing consolidating feedback and edits from many reviewers.
  • Experience working in multilingual settings.
  • Must be fluent in written and oral English and French.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working on projects in Morocco and/or living in Morocco or other country in the Maghreb highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in land governance highly desired.
  • Language proficiency in Arabic preferred, but not required.
